Bøtø Marielyst only 100 m from Denmark's best voted beach.
"Proximity to the water. The cozy garden. The large terrace. The wilderness bath. We felt at home from day 1. The fireplace. The light pouring into the living room. The comfortable beds. The dog did not want to go home. We lacked nothing during our stay. We will come again next year ". These are the key words from the guestbook, where many of our guests write a nice greeting :-).
We, the owners, spend our holidays in the house and feel exactly like our visitors. The shoulders lower when you enter the gate. You can often sit on the terrace in early spring and late autumn, as there is so much shelter from the annex, the house and the trees. The birds sing spring and summer. You can often hear the sea. In addition, there is just - usually - peace.
The main house has been renovated in Nordic style and appears bright and friendly. Kitchen / living room with built-in fireplace, contains 2 pcs. 3-seater sofas, which are both good to sit and lie in :-), 1 comfortable armchair, dining table for 6 people. The kitchen is well equipped and contains induction hob as well as convection oven, extractor hood, fridge / freezer, dishwasher. Internet radio. Heat pump.
In addition, 1 bedroom with access to the terrace with nice, fixed continental bed 180x200 and 2 chests of drawers. Smaller room with 2 single beds and built-in wardrobe. Older bathroom with underfloor heating and shower. Shelf for toiletries.
The annex is from 2018, well insulated and consists of 2 large, bright bedrooms, each with its own separate exit to the terrace, double continental beds 180x200, fitted wardrobes. Electric radiators. In addition, a bathroom with toilet, shower, washer and dryer. Cabinet space for toiletries and towels.
The morning walk with the dog often goes - via the beach - to the grocery store 400 m from here, where we pick up freshly baked and often warm bread. You get tired of grilling or cook in the kitchen, there are several restaurants on Marielyst Torv, where you will also (just away from the square) find the famous Slagter Schou. At Larsens Plads there is often live music in high season. In addition, various restaurants and cafes as well as Netto and Rema 1000. Shops, and most restaurants and rides, has open all year. Also nearby are Bowling and Paintball, Miniature Golf, Golf and Fun Park, Playground, Golf. If you are into gourmet with a beautiful view, we can recommend Pomlenakke (Book a table several months in advance). Make your way past Cortzelitse and see the view with beech trees and water close to the "General's Gazebo." Our absolute favorite spot. It is said that it is here that the inspiration for "It is a lovely country" is taken and we agree. It is SO beautiful all year round and in May in particular. You can cycle there if you are healthy. Directions are available at the Tourist Office on the square. In addition, the Dairy Farm in Marrebæk must be highlighted, as you can not just find it without knowing that it exists.
If you are into nature, there is plenty to enjoy on Bøtø, Marielyst. You live here 100 m from Det Falsterske Dige which is 17,553 m long and offers many beautiful walks. Bøtø Forest with wild horses and wild cattle, is not far away. You can kindly cycle down there on one of the 4 bikes we make available (we try to keep them in order all season, but no guarantees). The grocery store also rents out bicycles for young and old. There is a sea of ??opportunities for walking and cycling as well as car trips for experiences on both Falster and Lolland.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WILDLIFE BATH CANNOT BE USED IN FROST WEATHER.
Unfortunately, it is not possible/allowed to charge electric cars - it is a fire hazard to do this on the house's current installations.
